...and to ride the sky lift back and forth over the fair in the dark...

on my way to work this morning...

ok, here goes-

we've had a really nice weekend. the weather has been very cool. windows down all weekend. hangin'-and-sleepin'-in-cozy-pjs kind of weather.

i ran almost three miles outside on saturday morning.
we went downtown to the moonpie store on saturday. it was cute and fun and yummy. we got moonpies. and rc cola. and cheerwine. and ne-hi, grape AND peach. oh, i just remembered... my grape ne-hi is still in the fridge, yah me! i forgot to take photos while there, so i took some as we drove through downtown towards home. see above. we love our cool city.

the gamecocks lost, but put up a good fight.

we had a relaxing Lord's day. i had coach sal take a photo of me in my outfit. my sister and sister-in-law and i are thinking of starting a fashion blog. we all have different tastes in clothing and are crazy about finding good deals and rockin' the thrift. we need a catchy title for our blog. any thoughts? would you come and visit our blog?

speaking of thrift, i found the most awesomest coat at the thrift store this weekend. can't wait to wear it. see, if i had a fashion blog, i could show you. oh, and btw, my skirt, shoes, and jacket are also all thrifted. my tights, however, i had to go to seven, yes, SEVEN stores to find. and they cost more than anything else i have on in this outfit. that bugs me.

i really need to start a blog about what i wear, don't you think?

i barely have time to blog, what AM i thinking?

moonpie heaven...

somehow this summer i missed this most exciting news...
we have the world's only moonpie general store!
aren't you totally jealous???
sorry, you have to be from the south to appreciate just how scrumptous and bad for you a moonpie is...and folks either love them or...hate them. i can't believe i just said that.
i introduced the yummy treats to my kindergartners today. they think the chocolate ones with sprinkles ROCK.

back in the saddle...

well, i actually never got out, i just got...complacent. i'm not going to use the "lazy" word.

i watch the biggest loser. you'd think if they could do it, i could. but i was very content to run and walk at the gym. i was too tired. and it hurt. and i was doing SOMEthing, wasn't that good enough??

maybe it's the autumn air. i don't like running in the heat. maybe it was my friend kim who has met her goal of running 100 times in 2009. what?!?! i went back into my exercise log. i haven't even been to the GYM 100 times yet in 2009. sad, very sad.

but i have gotten the 5K bug again. time to run.

today i ran a 5K in the gym in about 37 minutes at an incline. that's good. especially since i've been complacent. and i'll be running a 5K on halloween.

and the biggie? i signed up for boot camp. my own home-grown version of the biggest loser, minus bob and jillian. but the complaining and groaning and moaning and dying will definitely be included.

a good idea...

so the new IMAX opened, and they showed dollar movies AND sold dollar concessions ALL WEEKEND. let's go to the movies! we thought.

well, so did THE REST of the city.

we were able to get tickets for the 8:55 showing of UP 3D- on sunday night.

movie tickets...$5.00
popcorn and drinks...$7.00
3D glasses for 5 (yeah, they forgot to add THAT in)...$10.00
being dead tired in school the next day because we had a late-night adventure...priceless.

love that stuff, especially the tiny pumpkins. they are so cute i can't help but eat them.
