My bad...

Life has been hitting me at full speed lately- I mean, wow, it's been two weeks since I blogged, what's with THAT? I do have some great photos to post, will do that soon. But just a quick update on my world...

* our oldest child was baptized at Winterfest...very cool...got the call at 11:45pm, and then photos arrived via camera phone on my email (sometimes technology can be a blessing).

* I got to scrapbook this past weekend with some of my very best friends in a cabin in the woods...er, marsh. It was awesome- I did 78 pages. And finished our RV trip from summer 2005. Apparently just in time for...

* LARRY AND I ARE GOING TO ROME!!! No, not Rome, Georgia; ROME, ITALY!!! We are chaperoning a HS group for two weeks, all expenses paid except for food and tips. Yes, we are crazy, but it's gonna be FUN!!!

I'm sure there is more to tell, but those are the highlights...I'll be back...

A Valentine's wish...

I wish for you lots of chocolate tomorrow...and no added pounds! Wouldn't that be nice?

I actually shot these yesterday b/c I knew it would be raining today which equals no light. THAT is a sure sign of an addicted photographer, to read the weather and plan ahead. And my husband thought I was wanting to know how to dress the kids...:o)

Walking the line...

In Bible storytime last week, our fours were listening to the story of the boy Jesus remaining at the temple and how his parents were looking for him among all the travelers. She told how they couldn't find him anywhere and were afraid he was lost.

One of our sweet children, with all seriousness and authority in her voice, piped up and said, "Jesus should have stayed in line!"

Hhhmmm...I think she's heard THAT before somewhere...

Been busy "capturing life"...

Life has been very busy the last week. It seems that way most of the time, but this week I just didn't seem to have the time to blog. I slept instead. We are in the middle of basketball season for the boys AND for work, so we have something going on every night.

My photos lately haven't been all that "good" either. Basketball is a HARD-to-shoot subject- too dark and too fast. But what constitutes a "good" photo anyway?? Shouldn't any capture of life on film be consider "extraordinary", since it tells the story of your life at that moment, be it good or bad? Maybe then I HAVE taken some "good" pictures and should remember that life is not the number of breaths we take, but the moments that take our breath away...

More later...gotta go capture life...
