fernandina beach, day two...

the weather was wonderful today...it was actually very warm on the beach until late afternoon winds came in...
the locals here are very friendly and are willing to strike up a conversation...
the waves are not like home, where they are high and pound the surf...here they seem to be close to shore, which makes for less boogie boarding...
those shark teeth above? we found them all today...makes us wonder what's out there in that ocean...
the water is so clear that mary e had us run by walmart tonight after dinner to get a snorkel mask...she wants to see what's down there...hopefully not the above forementioned.
we ate tonight at Barbara Jean's, which we have at home in Mt. Pleasant...the shrimp and grits were yum, and david and i agreed that the key lime tart passed the test...
we are wiped out tonight.
good sleep ahead.

Funny thing...we ate at Barbara Jean's on Thursday night. I had a yummy crab cake. This is one of my parents' favorites.

Looks like your week at the beach was just what the doctor ordered. -Natalie

A great blog with great pics. I have an Amelia Island blog, but I never made it to the beach like you. I bet you had a great time. All the best.
