These are our "Hurricane Hanna Half-Day Cupcakes"- made in honor of Hurricane Hanna, which gave us a half -day off from school.

Any reason to make cupcakes is good for us...YUM!

Running...

...outside ain't easy.

Now I know why I love my gym.

On Saturday I run my first road race- only two miles- but it's outside. And all I do is run inside.

I discovered today that there is a difference. Whew.

I opened my back door early this morning, and guess who was there?

I said, "Hey, Autumn, welcome back! It's good to see you, we've been waiting on you to get here!"

And I left the door open so that it could slip right in the screen door...

Happy 18th anniversary to us, babe...
spent as our last family beach day of the summer...











Eighteen years, seven addresses, three kids, two minivans, and one dog later...we're still lovin' it.

Wow, can you believe it???

I'm back!

Who knows for how long...but I really just wanted to post something- anything.

It's storming tonight. I love thunder and rain and lightning, especially at night and when I have nowhere to go.

Tonight is also the start of the new season of The Biggest Loser. We love that show- it's a family affair around here. David was worried because he normally has choir on Tuesday nights, so he thought we'd watch it without him. But choir was canceled- yahoo! So we get stormy weather with nowhere to go AND The Biggest Loser. A small blessing, time together.

I also finished making a photo frame for my *sister's* birthday. She's like an aunt to the kids. We miss her a lot. She lives far away.

It's a sweet evening.

August already?...

Yep, summer has flown by...too fast! We've been super-busy and it seems like I can't ever find time to download photos and post on the blog. And since teachers went back to school today (*sigh*), I'm not sure it's going to get any better.

I feel pulled in SO many directions, and the things I tend to do are the things that have to be done, NOT the things I really want to do. I never seem to find time to scrapbook; blog; work on organizing my photos. It seems like when I DO get time to do these things, I'm just pooped-tired!

Whew...that wore me out.

I'm sure, too, that most of you have stopped coming by. Sorry it's been so boring...EMPTY.

I'll be back...I'm not going to promise, but I'll try!
