Summer tastes SO good...

So I found an easy recipe for Key Lime pie in the Real Simple magazine...and it's AWEsome! Sublime is still AWESOME, but this is a great duplicate at the cost of about $5 a pie instead of TWENTY!!! I recommend, though, that you freeze it overnight and KEEP it in the freezer. And the recipe can really make two pies- just get two pie crusts; 2 cans of sweetened condensed milk; a PINT of heavy whipping cream; and a 12 ou limeade (which was all the store had).

BTW- don't read the nutrition information...it'll just spoil it...*smiles*...besides, it's SUMMER!

D and I are going to be making more of these pies!

J likes nectarines, but not when they get mushy. So today we chopped up the nectarines and added strawberries and blueberries...yum! He and ME both ate a bowl for dinner. I took a picture because...well...it looked so summer-y...

Summer food is SO good...do you have a favorite?

Are those really the only ingredients (for the key lime pie)? That seems too simple.

You should crop the fruit picture so you can't see the container or the background. Then it would look like "mmmmm, endless fruit!" That does look good. I have been thinking about blueberries lately, but I haven't gotten around to acquiring any yet.

Oh, and, BTW, the kids' pics from the last posts are precious (even though they are getting too old to use such an adjective). D actually looks like a teenager or something...
